MINOR DAMAGE REPORTED IN CAR FIRE IN WHITE TOWNSHIP

Thanks to the quick response from firefighters, a car fire was quickly put out this morning in White Township.

Indiana Fire Association was dispatched by Indiana County 911 at 10:23 this morning to a home at 241 Maple Street for a report of a car fire that was endangering the mobile home on the property.  Indiana fire officials say the fire was contained to the engine compartment of the car, and did not spread further.

The exact cause was not released.  No injuries were reported, and damage was minimal.
