Barbara “Barb” Irene Dembosky, 37, of Carnegie, PA and formerly of Hillsdale, PA (Marion Center) died February 8, 2018 in Carnegie, PA.
The daughter of Thomas Carl and Edna Marie (Kidd) Dembosky, she was born on October 15, 1980 in Indiana, PA.
Barb was a graduate of Purchase Line High and attended the IUP Culinary school in Punxsutawney, PA. She had been employed in the food service industry and was currently a student studying for a career in medical coding.
She greatly adored her two much loved children. Barb enjoyed cooking and doing puzzles. She loved playing games with her children. Barb was known in her Carnegie neighborhood for playing baseball with all the neighborhood kids, where she pitched tennis balls to those up at bat.
Barb is survived by her parents: Thomas and Edna (Kidd) Dembosky of Hillsdale, PA (Marion Center); her son, Logan Carl Nixon, age 13 and her daughter, Lily Elizabeth Nixon, age 10, both at home; her sister: Annelisa Gallardo and husband, Wilmer of Watertown, CT; her two nephews: Warner Thomas Gallardo and Adler Winston Gallardo; her boyfriend, Mark Silvio of Carnegie; PA and her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Alvin Dennis and Violet Elma Kidd; her paternal grandparents: Carl and Irene Betty Dembosky and her three aunts: Marjorie Louise Shotts; Lois Pearl Lauter and Debra Ann Bloomquist.
There will be a gathering from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be held on Friday immediately following the gathering with Pastor Gerald Small officiating. Interment with committal service will follow at East Mahoning Cemetery in Purchase Line, PA.
Those attending are asked to please bring a favorite picture and/or memory to share during Barb’s memorial service.
