Imogene L. Evans, 90, of Indiana, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her residence with her family by her side.
A daughter of the late Harvey and Hazel Smith Lewis, she was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Indiana.
Mrs. Evans was retired from Riverside and BiLo Markets, where she was a baker and sales clerk. She had also worked in the hand grenade factory in Indiana. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Brush Valley United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Methodist Women. She liked to sew, bake and do crafts.
She is survived by two children: Gary R. Evans, of Brush Valley; A. Gregg Evans and wife Rebecca, of Homer City; two grandchildren: Hillary B. Empfield and husband Ken; and Benjamin A. Evans; two great grandchildren: Elijah K. and Josiah B. Empfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell A. Evans a daughter-in-law, Margie E. Evans; half brother and sister: Harvey Lewis and Harriet Lewis; and a beloved Golden Retriever, Scout.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
