Louis Zaveson, 90, Blairsville died May 2, 2017 at his late residence. He was the son of the late Paul and Cecilia (Wargo) Zaveson and was born August 16, 1926 in Akron Ohio. He was a member of the Independent Traditional Holiness Church.
Mr. Zaveson served in WWII as a corporal in the USMC where he served in the Pacific Theater and Iwo Jima. He was also employed by Beckwith Machinary.
He is survived by his wife Bernice (Fidley); son, Louis Paul ; daughters, Tobin and husband Tom Yurky, Karen and husband Tim Burnheimer and grandson, Jacob; granddaughter, Julie and great granddaughter, Rowen. He is also survived by his brother, Sam Zaveson, California.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Pete, Steve, Milan and George and sisters, Millie, Kay, Olga and infant twin sisters.
As per Louis wishes, a private graveside service with be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City.
