Indiana Borough Police report an incident involving DUI and marijuana possession which occurred around 2 AM this morning.
19-year-old William Haberman of Pittsburgh was observed making an illegal right turn on red from the 500 block of Philadelphia Street onto North 6th Street. Haberman’s vehicle was stopped by police and Haberman was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Haberman was also in possession of marijuana. Haberman was taken into custody and lodged at the Indiana County Jail to be arraigned by Judge Thachik. A criminal complaint charging Haberman for DUI, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Minors Prohibited From Operating with Alcohol in Sytem, Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices, and Underage Drinking, has been filed.
-State Police do not identify any of the combatants in a fight late Friday afternoon at an address along White Street in Young Township. Two of the people, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, are listed as victims, although the 28-year-old is both victim and accused. The third, a 29-year-old man, is listed as accused. All three men are from Saltsburg. Two of the three were injured.
-State police say a vehicle took out a mailbox along East Pike in a December 14th crash reported early this morning. The driver fled the scene. The accident happened near the intersection with Geesey Road around 8:45 in the morning.
