The Red Kettle Campaign of the Western Pennsylvania division of the Salvation Army came up about $145,000 shy of its goal of $2,812,732. Eighteen of the thirty-nine regional locations fell short of their goals, including Indiana, with a shortfall of at least $15,000. That means Indiana County locations raised less than 75 percent of their goal.
Each Salvation Army location is responsible for raising a certain amount of funding. Those which came up short will have to consider additional fundraising or cuts in service.
You can still help the Indiana unit. Checks can be mailed to the Indiana location at 635 Water Street in Indiana, or to the Western Pennsylvania Divisional Headquarters at PO Box 742, 700 North Bell Avenue, Carnegie, PA 15106. Write “Christmas Campaign” in the memo section and indicate that you would like the donation credited to the Indiana unit.
