In Indiana County Court, a number of defendants are facing sentencing today for a variety of offenses.
One of them, 60-year-old Sharon Carroll of Greenville, Mercer County, pleaded guilty in October to possession with intent to deliver. Carroll sold twelve stamp bags of heroin and half of a gram of crack cocaine to an undercover state trooper and a confidential informant in June of 2015 on North 4th Street in Indiana.
69-year-old Judith Ann Daugherty of Black Lick and 60-year-old Barbara Jean Warner of Josephine will both be sentenced for theft in a shoplifting case from July of last year. They were caught removing tags from clothing and placing the items in an empty purse at the Bon Ton store at the Indiana Mall. Warner was detained by Bon Ton personnel until police arrived, and confessed to the crime. Daugherty fled but was later apprehended.
35-year-old Jesse James Lydic of Indiana, will be sentenced for guilty pleas in three separate cases. Lydic pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia for a case from March of last year; to criminal use of a communication facility in a case from last February in which possession with intent to deliver will not be prosecuted; and to criminal trespass-breaking into a structure, in a burglary case from last May.
19-year-old Jamar Lamont Brown of Indiana will be sentenced for guilty pleas to criminal trespass-breaking into a structure in four burglary cases, from June of 2015, two burglaries in May of last year, and another break-in in June of last year.
33-year-old Chad Cahill of Armagh will be sentenced for possession of red phosphorous, a chemical used to produce methamphetamine, in a case from June of last year. Charges related to operating a meth lab will not be prosecuted.
47-year-old Valerie Campbell of Blairsville will be sentenced for conspiracy to burglary in a case from June of last year.
