A man charged in a fatal DUI crash last year pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
Indiana County District Attorney Patrick Dougherty announced that 56-year-old Mark Alan Campbell pleaded guilty to Homicide by vehicle and DUI for the crash on March 10th of 2016. Summary traffic-related charges and a second misdemeanor charge of DUI will not be prosecuted in his case. The plea came during a motions hearing held Wednesday in Indiana County Court.
Campbell’s car had crossed the center line on Route 422 in Pine Township in March and collided with the car of 68-year-old Shirley Pegg of Rayne Township. Pegg was killed in the crash.
No word yet on when his sentencing will be held.
