State Police are investigating a recent burglary that happened in Burrell Township. Justin Hall of Blairsville reported to police that sometime between 12:30 AM and 6:30 AM on January 18th, someone took numerous power tools and two Glock pistols from his garage. You are asked to contact state police at 724-357-1960 if you have any information on the burglary.
A 19-year-old from the Slippery Rock area did not get the new year off on a good foot as she was pulled over and accused of driving under the influence. This happened at 3:45 AM on New Year’s Day at the intersection of North 4th and Philadelphia Streets. The woman, who was not identified by name, was pulled over for a traffic violation when police found she was under the influence of alcohol. A blood draw was taken and sent to State Police labs. Charges will be filed after the blood test results come in.
