A new record was set today for school donations for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
The Indiana Senior High School Student Government Association (paid a visit to Indiana in the Morning on WCCS and…) made their annual donation to Renda Broadcasting’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive, and the total, announced by SGA Advisor Michael Bertig, SGA President Margaux Marcus, SGA Treasurer Alex Revolt and School Store Manager Yasmin Ali broke an all-time record for school-based contributions. Indiana high’s total was $20,700.
The money was raised in various fundraisers from a variety show at the school to placing jars in area businesses to collect donations. Marcus added that donations across the board consistently increased.
Along with other donations, the Teddy Bear Fund Drive has raised over $100,000 for the fourth straight year. The fund drive benefits IRMC’s Pediatrics and Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh. There is still time to contribute as donations will be accepted until the end of February. You can make your donation by dropping it off at our studios at 840 Philadelphia Street in Indiana.
