Renda Broadcasting’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive just got another big boost thanks to Indiana County’s high school basketball players.
This year is the third year for the Hutton-Blews Insurance “3 for Three” fundraiser, where Hutton-Blews pledged $3 for every three-point shot made by Indiana County High School varsity basketball players, up to $3000. For the third straight year, the students hit the mark and made 1000 three-pointers to trigger a $3000 donation, but Shannon Lipniskis said that Hutton-Blews wanted to do a bit more, so they are adding an additional $100, making their total for this year’s program $3100.
Lipniskis said it was important to them to help out the Teddy Bear Fund Drive because it was a cause that they believed in, and it was supporting local healthcare for kids. The Teddy Bear Fund Drive helps Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Pediatrics Department and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
