While it wasn’t the big prize which was worth over $200 million, someone who bought a lottery ticket in Indiana is now in possession of one of Powerball’s top prizes.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced that someone bought a $1 million winning ticket from the Indiana Giant Eagle on Ben Franklin Road. The identity of the winner is not yet known, but the ticket they hold matched all five of the white balls drawn, which were 14-20-42-49-66. They missed the powerball, which was 5. As a reward, the Indiana Giant Eagle will receive a $5000 bonus.
Lottery officials want the winner to sign their ticket, then contact the Pennsylvania Lottery at 717-702-8146, and file a claim at the Lottery’s headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the lottery’s regional offices. The closest office to Indiana is the Clearfield office on Leonard Street. The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
By the way, the jackpot rolled over to $285 million annuity or $172.5 million cash option for the Saturday drawing.
