State Police are continuing to investigate a case of theft and check forgery that happened in November. Troopers say that an unknown person by unknown means obtained two checks that belonged to a business owned by a 30-year-old un-named Indiana man. The checks were supposedly mailed to the victim, but he never received the checks. The thief was able to forge the victim’s signature on the checks, and deposited them in a bank account located out of state. INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police report of a hit and run crash on Friday night. State police say at 9:44 PM, they were called out to North 3rd Street for the crash. The victim reported the crash happened between 5:50 and 9:30 PM that night, when an unknown vehicle knocked a rear-view mirror off the driver’s side door. Contact the borough police if you have any information.
Indiana borough police are investigating some vandalism on an apartment door. The incident was reported Friday, but the damage was done between February 6th and 9th at an apartment in the 400 block of South 5th Street as someone put a hole in the door.
