BURRELL TOWNSHIP
A Blairsville man was injured last evening in a single-vehicle crash on Old William Penn Highway in Burrell Township. State police say 70-year-old Donald Miller lost control of his pickup truck on a left-hand curve, swerving off the road and driving through two yards. He tried to get it back on the road but could not, continuing through another yard, crossing a driveway and a vacant lot, where he ramped on a mound of dirt and eventually crashed into a large sign for the Abundant Grace Assembly of God church and, finally, a utility pole.
Police describe Miller’s injuries as minor. He was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
CENTER TOWNSHIP
No one was injured in a rear-end collision at the traffic light n Route 119 near Lucerne Road in Center Township yesterday afternoon. Police say 23-year-old Fernando Delacruz of Latrobe told them he wasn’t paying attention to the traffic in front of him and crashed into the vehicle of Janet Arone of Homer City, who was coming to a stop at the red light.
