A Blairsville woman has been accused of supplying drugs to a woman who overdosed, and then interfering with emergency responders and police who were trying to save the victim.
State police and Citizens Ambulance were summoned last night to Liggett’s Auto Garage, which is located along Rhine Road in the Graceton area. They arrived to find an unresponsive woman, 32-year-old Jennifer Lynn Mills of Blairsville, and while ambulance personnel were providing lifesaving treatment, police say 50-year-old Renee Liggett refused to assist them and attempted to mislead them about the drug that Mills had taken, resulting in a delay of care. Police say it was either heroin or morphine, and that Liggett had given them to her.
Liggett was arrested and placed in the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment. Charges will include delivery of drugs and obstruction of emergency services.
