At last night’s White Township Planning Commission meeting, more discussion was held on the proposed Ben Franklin Elementary School Project.
The preliminary/final site plan for the school was up for approval by the Planning Commission, but there were still too many concerns about the project for the commission to approve the site plan. Planning Commission Chairman Robert Begg says they normally give conditional approval if one or two things need to be corrected, but there are four things he feels need to be seen or addressed before approval can be given. Those items are the traffic impact study, an inspection of the plans by the Indiana Fire Association Chief, an analysis of the bus and car queuing areas, and comments from the storm water management review. The plan was tabled for the next meeting.
In other business, the commission did approve final site plans for Earth Craft Landscaping on Airport Road, conditional to extending a fence along one of the property lines.
