The bidding process is open for the next round of renovations to IUP’s George P. Miller Stadium. Separate contracts will be awarded for a new track surface and for more extensive work on the stadium’s seating and restrooms.
Bids are due by March 3rd for replacement of the eight-lane rubber-surfaced track. That contract will also include new fencing and gates, new trench drains, long jump runways, and new pole vault plant boxes. There could also be other improvements, depending on the bidder’s proposal.
Bids will be opened on March 10th for the construction of two new “toilet room facility buildings”, the replacement of the visitor-side bleachers, and a home-side Accessible Seating Platform.
The Frank Cignetti Field at the stadium got a new turf surface last year.
