State Police are reporting on more thefts from vehicles in Rayne and Green Townships.
The incident in Rayne Township happened last Tuesday between Midnight and 6 AM in the 2400 Block of Tanoma Road. The thief was able to get into two unlocked cars and took $40 worth of change from one vehicle and a book bag from another before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The other incident was in the 5000 block of Purchase Line Road in Green Township between 6:30 PM February 20th and 6:45 AM on the 21st. Again, the car was unlocked, but this time the thief got away with a purse belonging to a 32-year-old Green Township woman and a Ruger LC9 9mm handgun.
