Several preliminary hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County Court.
Among them, a hearing for Cynthia Perez, who is facing charges of obstruction of law enforcement, resisting arrest, possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge of disorderly gatherings in connection with an incident on November 30th of 2016. She along with Kiana Vasquez interfered with police when they came out to their South 5th Street apartment on a noise complaint. When police got there, the marijuana was in plain sight. While Perez and Vasquez obstructed police and resisted arrest, 19-year-old Talbot White of Philadelphia reportedly tried to hide and destroy the suspected marijuana.
All charges against Vasquez were held for court, while the charges against White were withdrawn with the exception of a disorderly conduct charge, which was moved to a non-traffic citation.
