Two people were injured in a crash on State Route 1018, Wayne Township, Armstrong County Tuesday night.
State Police say around 9:40 PM, a 33-year-old man from Dayton was driving a pickup truck on State Route 1018 and trying to go through a right hand curve but was going too fast, and crossed into oncoming traffic hitting an SUV driven by an unidentified 46-year-old woman, also from Dayton. The impact caused the SUV to go backwards about 20 yards before coming to rest with it’s front end off the road and the rear end still in the west bound lane. The truck continued and hit the SUV’s driver’s side rear quarter panel before coming to a stop.
The driver of the truck had minor injuries while the SUV driver had major injuries and was flown from the scene. Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage.
