We reported on a two-vehicle collision yesterday on Old William Penn Highway. State police say two accidents happened on that stretch of road yesterday within two hours of each other.
The first crash was a one-vehicle collision near Litner Road just after 6:00 in the morning. Police say a car driven by Dwight Harper of Shelocta slid on the ice and lost control, spinning clockwise and hitting a tree. Harper was not injured.
The other crash was near Pine Ridge Road and was the one that backed up traffic. Whiel going east on Old William Penn Highway, Madisyn Glasso of Blairsville slowed down for a vehicle in front of them. Tera Paulson tried to slow down but slid on the ice and rear-ended Glasso’s car. Both were injured, but the extent of their injuries is not known at this time. The two were taken to IRMC, with Paulson transported there by ambulance, while Glasso was taken by a private vehicle.
