INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana Borough Police announced charges have been filed against an Indiana man for DUI. Police say on February 6th around 2:51 PM, they came across John Livingston in the 400 block of Poplar Avenue. Police determined he was driving under the influence, and would later find out he was also driving on a suspended license. Police have filed a criminal complaint with District Judge Guy Haberl charging Livingston with DUI and driving on a suspended license.
Indiana Borough Police are investigating the theft of a chair from a front porch on School Street. The theft happened March 6th around 4:30 PM. Someone stole a grey plastic Adirondack-style chair from the front porch of a home in School Street’s 900 block. Call Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121 if you have any information.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP
State Police are investigating a burglary in Washington Township. Vernon Blystone of Creekside reported to police that about 30 gallons of gasoline were siphoned from an automobile, an ATV and two lawn tractors stored in his garage over the last two to three weeks. There are no suspects at this time, but if you have any information, call State Police at 724-357-1960.
CLYMER BOROUGH
As we get closer to the tax-filing deadline, we are starting to see tax-related scams going on. State Police say an unknown person used the Social Security Number of Robert Oaks Jr. of Clymer to file a fraudulent tax return, and open a fraudulent account with Electronic Merchant Systems. Investigation is continuing.
