No injuries were reported in a barn fire Wednesday afternoon in Center Township.
The fire was reported at the Fabin Farm on 752 Fabin Road at 4:26 in the afternoon. Aultman, Coal Run/McIntyre, Blacklick, Indiana, Coral-Graceton and Homer City fire departments were on the scene along with the RIG team and Citizens Ambulance. The fire started when a skid steer caught fire in one of the livestock barns. Between first responders on the scene and farmers, they were able to evacuate some of the cows in the barn and then get the skid steer out of the barn before any serious damage was done.
None of the livestock in the barn were hurt, and crews remained on the scene to clear the smoke out of the barn. Damage to the barn was minimal.
