An Indiana County woman is accused of having sexual relations with a detainee at the Adelphoi Village group home in Unity Township, Westmoreland County.
31-year-old Kelly Jean Zawodniak of Saltsburg has been charged with institutional sexual assault after being caught February 23rd, allegedly having relations with an 18-year-old male in a laundry room at the home. She is also charged with corruption of minors in connection with five suggestive notes she allegedly left on the bed of a 16-year-old detainee and an attempt to hug the boy, who resisted her advances. That happened February 20th at another Adelphoi home
The home immediately fired Zawodniak, contacted authorities, and escorted her off the property. She was only with Adelphoi for a few weeks after being hired as a fill-in worker. She was arraigned and released on recognizance, and will face a preliminary hearing on March 27th.
