Eric Neal of the YMCA talked about the importance of the breakfast, especially on a day that is so important to Christians. He said the day is one of the most important in the history of world, and they are happy to be a part of it and spreading the message of The Bible and this year, hosting guest speakers every year.
This year’s guest speakers were Julie Kemp and her son Landon Whitley. In 1997, Julie, and her husband Andy along with eight-year-old Landon were driving home from church when their car was broadsided by an ambulance. The crash killed Andy. Julie was stabilized, and Landon died at the scene but was brought back to life by first responders. He would later need reviving twice more, and after two weeks, he came out of the coma, saying that he saw his father in heaven.
Landon and his mom still go across the country telling their story, and he said that he is able to inspire others with his story.
