The parent company of Wyotech has announced that they will stop accepting students at the Blairsville Campus and 20 other campuses, eventually closing those campuses.
This is part of what are being called changes in the Zenith Education Group, the company that was formed after the ECMC acquired 56 Corinthian Colleges that faced closure. In a media release, Zenith announced that students currently enrolled at the 21 Altierus and Wyotech campuses will continue to be taught and given the opportunity to complete their programs before the schools close for good. Zenith also plans to reach out to local educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and community groups to see if there is interest in using their facilities.
In the three years since the acquisition, Zenith said that it became clear to them that many of the campuses are “geographically inconvienent” for underserved students or not built to accommodate the programs they want to offer. Zenith plans to keep three campuses going and expand offerings at the Altierus campuses in Tampa, Florida and Norcoross, Georgia and the Bissonnet Campus in Houston, Texas.
