
State police from the Indiana Barracks released statistics from their Easter Weekend enforcement efforts.
Those statistics include the fatal crash that killed two people on Route 286 early Friday evening near Aultman. There were no other fatal crashes over the weekend, but there were nine other crashes investigated.
Troopers also made 594 traffic stops over the weekend. During the weekend that went April 19th to the 21st, police made nine DUI arrests, wrote 476 speeding tickets, and another 18 tickets for seat belt violations. They issued 34 seat belt warnings. There were also five citations for steer clear/move over law violations, 138 written warnings and 135 other written citations. Troopers also made two self-initiated arrests.
This is for incidents only investigated by state police, and did not include any incidents investigated by other police forces.
