Nathaniel Davis, a senior at Homer-Center High School and pitcher for the Wildcats baseball team, signed his letter of commitment Thursday to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he will major in marketing and join the Crimson Hawks pitching staff.

“Nate is very competitive on the mound and is very athletic,” said IUP baseball head coach Anthony Rebyanski. “He has the ability to work consistently in the strike zone with both his primary and secondary pitches. He possesses average to above average secondary pitches and with continued development, we feel that he can play a key role in the success of our pitching staff.”
The Wildcats left-hander, who figures to start for Homer-Center on Monday at Portage in the first round of the District 6 playoffs, joined 12 others in IUP’s 2019 baseball recruiting class, which was announced Thursday. The class includes Colton Burd, Jacob Decker, Caden DeCroo, Mark Edeburn, Christian Gabriel, Elijah Glass, Ian Logue, Lane Pearson, Michael Perreault, Harrison Pontoli, Alexander Super and Alexander Weakland.
“As a staff, we believe that we have continued to move in the right direction with the thirteen student-athletes that have committed to our program,” said Rebyanski. “We have added a lot of quality depth to all areas of our current roster and are excited to begin working with each of them to develop and build on their talents and abilities throughout their collegiate academic and athletic careers.”
