According to the latest newsletter of the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Development Task Force, the Indiana County Solar Co-Op is the most successful in the state, and with interest so high, they have extended the deadline for signed contracts with the co-op to August 8th. The previous deadline was April 26th.
Fifteen co-op members have signed solar contracts so far, giving them access to the group installation price. The co-op chose Groundhog Solar LLC of Altoona as its installation contractor.
Becoming a co-op member is not a binding commitment to install solar panels, but it will get you in the door and help the group pre-assess your site for its suitability for solar.
