A woman visiting IUP campus struck it rich after buying a winning Cash 5 Ticket at the Sheetz on the Point in Indiana.
On Friday, PA Lottery officials held a check presentation ceremony at the Sheetz on Wayne Avenue in Indiana, where Caroline Le Anna of York County purchased the winning Cash 5 ticket that gave her the top prize of $500,000 for the September 22nd drawing. She said that it was a bit of fate, as she was looking to purchase a scratch-off ticket from the lottery’s vending machine in the store.
Le Anna plans to use the $500,000 for her daughter’s tuition to IUP and to pay off some bills.
