In an update this afternoon, Indiana Borough Police say they have “amassed a significant amount of physical evidence from both crimes scenes” in their investigation of Friday evening’s robbery and shooting at two addresses along Wayne Avenue. They add that they are processing evidence, conducting followup interviews, and pursuing all incoming information in their search for three suspects.
Two people were injured in the incident. One suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and the other an unspecified injury. Police have not released their identities.
Police said yesterday that cell phones stolen during the robbery were discarded and later recovered near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and College Lodge Road on the west side of town.
Police continue to believe there is no current risk to community safety. Barring a break in the case, they do not anticipate another update before Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock.
