The Pennsylvania Game Commission would like to remind area hunters that antlerless deer tags will go on sale beginning July 13 for Pennsylvania residents, and July 20 for non-residents.
The new licensing year began on July 1, meaning new licenses are required in order to hunt this season. Those who fail to purchase hunting licenses are ineligible to apply for antlerless deer tags.
Applications will only be accepted by mail-in option only, and they must be mailed with appropriate materials in an official pink envelope. These envelopes are issued by the license-issuing agent once a hunting license is purchased.
Resident applicants must make checks payable to “County Treasurer” and the cost is $6.90 per license. Non-residents must pay $26.90 per license. Any incomplete applications, or applications sent in prior to the announced date, will be rejected and returned to the appropriate sender.
The Game Commission included a full list of county treasurers and their addresses in the 2020-21 edition of the Pennsylvania Hunting and Trapping Digest.
