A standoff situation in Homer City this morning ended with one person in custody and no reported injuries.
Homer City and State Police were called out around 9:00 this morning for the situation at a home at 37 North Lincoln Street. Homer City Police Chief Anthony Jellison said the man, who was not identified, had barricaded himself in his basement with a shotgun. Chief Jellison said that he talked with the man to get him out of the house.
After about an hour and a half, the man was seen leaving the home with hands in the air, surrendering to police. Jellison said that the man was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A criminal investigation is still going on at this time.

We have received word of a police incident this morning in Homer City Borough, as nine to 10 police cars have been seen in the area of North Lincoln Street.
Witnesses have also said that they saw some policemen with rifles in the area. No word on what the incident is, but we know the street is blocked off as is Wiley Street.
