A suspect is in custody in a shooting that happened at a fast food restaurant along Oakland Avenue near IUP Campus.
Indiana Borough Police were summoned at 10:26 AM for a report of shots fired at the Taco Bell in Indiana Borough. When they got there, police discovered that Todd Jakosh of Indiana fired three shots from a handgun at a woman, whose name was not released. None of the shots hit the woman or anyone else at the scene. Jakosh was later apprehended at a location in White Township without incident. Indiana Borough Police were assisted by the county sheriff’s office and state police in the investigation.
District Attorney Robert Manzi had high praise for the Indiana Borough Police Department for their quick response.
Manzi said that Jakosh is now in Indiana County Jail and is awaiting arraignment by District Judge Christopher Welch on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
This marks the second shooting in Indiana Borough in two weeks.
