Indiana borough police are investigating a case of identity theft that was reported on Wednesday.
Police say that a person who lives in the 500 block of Washington Street called police and told them that an unknown person attempted to fraudulently file for unemployment compensation by using the victim’s identity. The police report did not say if the fraud attempt was successful.
The investigation is on-going.
