A former WDAD and WCCS announcer has passed away.
Robert James Bacha, Sr., better known to listeners as Bob Bacha, passed away on Tuesday at the Communities of Indian Haven. After he graduated from Barnesboro High School, he worked for WNCC Radio in Northern Cambria before becoming an announcer for WDAD in the late 60’s through the mid 80’s, and worked part-time at WCCS after that.
Former WDAD General Manager Ray Goss said that Bacha was someone who was a pleasure to work with.
