IUP and Westmoreland County Community College yesterday announced a new dual admissions program agreement that will streamline the process for students who earn an associate degree at WCCC to complete their bachelor’s degree at IUP.
The agreement signed Tuesday by IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll and WCCC President Dr. Tuesday Stanley grants automatic acceptance to IUP for qualified WCCC students who intend to pursue their bachelor’s degree, without an additional application.

There will be a curriculum plan to provide a seamless transition, enhanced counseling, advising, and transition support, and full access to IUP’s resources for students who are accepted into the program.
Students must be currently enrolled at WCCC, have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or meet the minimum GPA of their desired IUP program, have earned fewer than 30 credit hours before applying for the program, and plan to pursue both an associate’s and a bachelor’s degree.
In the last five years, more than 330 WCCC students have gone on to IUP to complete their studies.
