Indiana Fire Company had a busy day on Sunday with four calls within four hours, with three of those calls for automatic fire alarms.
The string of calls started at 2:15 PM on Sunday with the first automatic fire alarm at a location on Oakland Avenue. Companies four and one were dispatched.
Company two was called out at 3:51 PM for an automatic fire alarm at a location on North 7th Street in the borough.
At 4:24 PM, companies three and four were dispatched to Plaza Road in White Township for the third straight automatic fire alarm call.
The final call was for a carbon monoxide alarm in Indiana Borough on South 7th Street. The fire department was joined for that call by Citizens’ Ambulance.
Two other fire departments were called out earlier in the day for a vehicle fire on Route 403 in Pine and Cherryhill Townships. Their respective fire departments were on the scene for those around 12:05 PM.
