
After days of questioning, it was announced that JuJu Smith-Schuster is returning to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
ESPN Insider Adam Schefter announced the signing in a tweet shortly before 1:20 p.m. on Friday, and reports say it’s a one-year deal worth $8 million. Smith-Schuster also tweeted about the signing, saying “they’ll need a wrecking ball to get me out of here.”
JuJu returns as the Steelers’ primary wide receiver after hauling in 9 touchdowns along with 831 receiving yards in 2020.

In other Steelers news, cornerback Steven Nelson was granted permission to seek out a trade early Friday morning. NFL insider Ian Rapoport says that with Smith-Schuster’s deal, the Steelers will have to either cut or trade Nelson, who is graded by Pro Football Focus as a top cornerback in the league.
Nelson is owed $8.25 million in 2021.
