
Indiana Borough Police reported a very quiet Friday of IUPatty’s Weekend.
Police say that at 12:12 PM on Friday, they apprehended Benjamin Whittington of Indiana in the 400 block of South 13th Street as he was wanted on several warrants from Indiana and Butler Counties. When police searched him, they found him in possession of heroin. He was placed in Indiana County Jail after his arraignment hearing in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for March 30th.
Police also reported that at 2:54 this morning, they were called out to the 700 block of Wayne Avenue for a report of a man refusing to leave a store. Police found 21-year-old Romeo Matthew Lee Trexler of Johnstown, in an intoxicated state. He was charged with public drunkenness and was released to a sober person.
