
IUP has announced its slate of recent graduates who were honored with its 2021 Young Alumni Achievement Awards.
The award is given to IUP graduates of 15 years or less who have become outstanding in their own individual professions. Because of the pandemic, this year’s ceremonies took place virtually on March 22nd and 24th. The 2021 recipients include:
- James McNabb, who earned his masters in 2015 from the College of Fine Arts. He is now the owner and lead artist at McNabb Studio in Philadelphia
- Adrian Soca Wibowo, a member of the class of 2005, who co-founded Helix Biostructures, LLC in Chicago and is their Chief Scientific Officer
- Tessa Minnick Mongold, who graduated in 2010 and got her masters two years later, and is now the Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Johnstown Bottling and Laurel Packaging Pepsi Company in Johnstown.
- Jessica Dirsmith, who earned her Masters in 2006 and her Doctorate in 2013 and is now a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling, Psychology and Special Education at Duquesne University.
- Kelly Henderson, who graduated in 2012 and earned her Masters in 2013, and is now vice president and talent program manager at PNC Financial Services in Washington, DC
- Cameron Wilkins, who graduated in 2006 and is now the president and owner of the Wilkins company in Erie
