A teacher in the Harmony School District has announced her candidacy for the Indiana Area School District Board of Directors.
Elizabeth Cook officially announced her candidacy yesterday. Cook has been a resident of Indiana for the last 20 years and has taught English and Spanish across several school districts during her time as a teacher. Cook praised the recent success of the Indiana School District as it was rated as one of the top 100 school districts in the nation, and 92nd among the 500 districts in the state of Pennsylvania.
Cook’s platforms include making frugal, well-chosen spending decisions that will maximize quality educational programs based on needs that arise, and she said she would also listen to the input of community members.
Cook plans to file on both the Democratic and Republican Ballots for the upcoming primary election on May 18th.
