An Indiana Man charged with summary traffic counts related to a crash that killed two people two years ago in Center Township pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay fines.
On Monday, David Wilson entered the pleas in a plea and sentencing hearing at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office, according to court documents. He was charged with careless driving causing unintentional death, speeding and disregarding traffic lanes connected with a three-vehicle crash on April 19th of 2019. State police at the time said Wilson was driving west on Route 286 when he lost control of his car on the wet road. The car crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head on with a car driven by 17-year-old Makenzie Deditch of Grafton, West Virginia. She and her passenger, 67-year-old Williard Allshouse of Saltsburg were pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilson suffered minor injuries and was treated at IRMC, while a third driver, 45-year-old Elizabeth Bush of Blairsville, suffered moderate injuries.
Court documents showed that Wilson was ordered to pay $500 in fines for the charge of careless driving and $25 each for the speeding and disregarding traffic lanes charges.
