On Wednesday, Indiana County had its highest single-day jump in the number of Covid-19 cases since early this year.
The PA Department of health reported that Indiana County had 37 new cases of Covid-19. That’s the highest jump since 44 cases were reported on January 8th. That brings the case total since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020 to 5,489. No new deaths were reported in Indiana County, meaning the death toll remains at 163.
As of yesterday, 11,872 have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 while another 9,209 residents have received partial vaccinations. The total number of those who have received at least one shot is now 21,081, which is roughly 25 percent of the county’s population.
Pennsylvania has 1,054,298 cases of Covid-19 reported with 25,285 deaths. More than 5.7 million vaccinations have been given out across the state, with 2,073,705 people fully vaccinated.
