An investigation is underway into a suspected data breach affecting as many as 72 thousand Pennsylvanians.
The data breach affects Pennsylvanians who submitted personal information as part of contact tracing connected to the Coronavirus pandemic. State Health officials say their data systems weren’t affected, but the breach involves Insight Global, a Baltimore-based I-T firm hired to conduct the tracing. Information which may have been stolen includes people’s names and the names of their children, phone numbers and medical histories.
Insight Global officials say they are working to secure personal information and will contact those affected by the breach.
