The Centers for Disease Control announced on Thursday that Pennsylvania has surpassed a significant goal in Covid-19 vaccinations.
Reports say that 5,088,210 Pennsylvania adults over the age of 18 have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which is 50.1 percent of the adult population. That’s a significant step towards a goal of 70 percent set by the PA Department of Health. The department said that once the 70 percent goal is met, mask mandates will be dropped.
In Indiana County, 24,304 people have been fully vaccinated, representing 28.9 percent of the county’s adult population, according to the Department of Health’s Covid-19 Dashboard. This does not factor in the number of vaccinations from yesterday’s IRMC walk-up vaccination clinic set up in IRMC Park as part of Downtown Indiana’s Third Thursday event.
Another walk-up clinic has been scheduled for today from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the KCAC in Indiana, and another travelling clinic will be held at May Mart in the S&T Bank Arena at the White Township Recreation Complex from 9-1 on Saturday.
