Pennsylvania crowd size mandates that were put in effect due to the Covid-19 pandemic have expired.
This means that all crowd size restrictions for bars and restaurants, along with indoor and outdoor events are no longer in effect. However, school districts, municipalities, and other groups may still have stricter mandates in effect.
Not all Covid-19-related mandates have been lifted. The PA Department of Health mask mandates remain in effect for now. Those were recently modified to come into line with the changes made by the CDC earlier this month. Those who have been fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask unless it is at a crowded event. Those who are not vaccinated are still required to wear a mask when heading out. Those mandates will be lifted on June 28th or whenever 70% of Pennsylvania’s adult population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19, whichever comes first.
Other requirements still in effect include testing and reporting new cases at hospitals and long-term care facilities, which will allow the state to continue to monitor Covid-19’s spread while lifting other restrictions.
