One good thing the Pirates have going for them now is that they can now go without masks in the dugout.
Last night, the Pirates players, both active and idle, along with the rest of the staff were able to go unmasked for the first time since the start of the Pandemic under the MLB guidelines. The team’s staff hit the 85% threshold for vaccination among their Tier 1 personnel, which allows them to go unmasked.
Some of the other benefits that will be opened back up to the Pirates include some of the clubhouse benefits including saunas and game rooms.
