A busy weekend for first responders continued into Sunday with a few calls for service.
Indiana Fire Association Companies 3 and 4 were dispatched at 7:20 AM for an automatic fire alarm activation along Pratt Drive in Indiana Borough. And Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were called out for the second time that day for a report of utility lines down along Yankee Hill Road in Black Lick Township. That call was at 1:04 PM. Nearly 12 hours earlier, both Blairsville and Black Lick fire companies would be called out along with Coral-Graceton, Indiana, Armagh/East Wheatfield and Clyde fire departments along with the county’s Hazmat team and citizens ambulance for structure fire on Schoolhouse Road in Burrell Township.
State police and Marion Center firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Route 119 north in East Mahoning Township at 4:38 PM on Sunday. Marion Center fire officials say it was a two-vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Routes 119 and 403. No word yet if anyone was hurt or the extent of the damage.
