As Pennsylvania continues to recover economically, businesses will soon be in high demand for workers. Because of this, Department of Labor and Industry Secretary Jennifer Berrier announced earlier today that a new opportunity will give aspiring workers the opportunity to connect with those looking to hire.
On Aug. 12, a statewide event called PA Careerlink Day will allow job-seekers to connect with employers to expand their workforce. On that day, prospective employees will be able to visit their local PA Careerlink office and meet employers and workforce development experts, and learn more about the free support services they have that can aid them while job hunting.
Some activities include career fairs, resume workshops, mock interviews and training and resource booths.
In addition, most locations will have recruiters on-site, so participants are encouraged to bring their resumes.
